Stewart Center (STEW)
APOLLO 11 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR
Purdue Archives & Special Collections, STEW (G-7, STEW), 4th floor
Scholars, students, and visitors can explore the Barron Hilton Flight & Space Exploration Archives, with its artifacts, family scrapbooks, mission logs, and other memorabilia from astronaut-alums Armstrong and Eugene Cernan, and aviator and student advisor Amelia Earhart, to name just a few.
This multi-purpose building houses Purdue's distance education and conferences division (Extended Campus), the career center (Center for Career Opportunities, which serves both Purdue students and alumni), two smaller theatres (Loeb Playhouse and Fowler Hall) as well as the customer service area for Information Technology at Purdue and the offices for several student organizations.
A large, painted mural near the West entrance depicts Purdue's land grant roots and the many fields of study taught at Purdue since its inception.
Also housed in Stewart is the Humanities, Social Sciences and Education (HSSE) Library and the Special Collections Library, which contains among its collections 1,000s of artifacts from Purdue's past.
